Summer in Canada means one thing for event hosts: it's go time.

Rooftop parties. Backyard weddings. Corporate team events at outdoor venues. Milestone birthday celebrations on patios. Long weekend get-togethers that people will actually remember. Summer is peak event season — and right now, hosts all across the GTA and beyond are planning something worth doing properly.

Which brings us to the question we get more than almost any other, and it almost always comes in a DM, at the end of a consultation, or whispered like it's somehow impolite to ask: "So… what does this actually cost?"

It's the most reasonable question in the world — and the fact that most cannabis hospitality vendors refuse to answer it publicly tells you everything about how immature this industry still is.

At HIGH BAR™️, we don't believe in mystery pricing. We believe in informed clients. So here is an honest, transparent look at how cannabis bar pricing works in Canada, what you're actually paying for, and how to figure out what your specific summer event would cost.

The One Thing You Need to Know First

Cannabis product is never included in the service price.

This is true across every legitimate cannabis hospitality provider in Canada — and it's not a hidden cost. Under the Cannabis Act (Canada), cannabis must be legally sourced and brought to your event by the client. Our role is to provide the certified staff, premium equipment, setup, service, and expertise. The cannabis itself comes from a licensed retailer of your choosing.

This is actually good news for your planning, because it means you control the product budget completely — and we make that easy. We've built a free Menu Volume Calculator on our website that takes your guest count and gives you a suggested starting quantity for pre-rolls, infused beverages, and vape products, calibrated to a realistic social event consumption rate. It's your shopping list before you walk into the dispensary.

What Goes Into the Price of a Cannabis Bar?

Service pricing in cannabis hospitality isn't like booking a photo booth. There are several real variables that shape your quote — and understanding them helps you have a much more useful conversation with our team.

The experience you choose. HIGH BAR offers several distinct service formats, from our accessible entry-level CANNABAR experience to our flagship Infusing Experience with multiple tiers of staff, equipment, and bar programming. Each format has different staffing, equipment, and setup requirements — so the experience you select is the single biggest factor in your quote.

How long your event runs. Our entry-level packages are priced per hour. Our Infusing Experience packages are built for events up to five hours. The length of your event shapes everything from staffing hours to product planning.

How many guests you're hosting. More guests means more staff, more product, and in some cases more bar stations to avoid lineups. A 50-person dinner and a 250-person gala are priced very differently — and they should be.

Add-ons and upgrades. Want a custom mocktail program? How about some custom branded doob tubes? A Stündenglass smoked beverage station? A non-alcoholic wine selection? We offer a range of add-ons that can build out your experience, all priced transparently when we put your quote together.

Your venue and location. Most of our work is in the GTA and across Ontario, but we travel. Events outside our home market may include travel or coordination fees that we'll flag upfront.

What Are the General Ranges?

We price every event individually, but here is an honest ballpark so you can plan:

Our most accessible entry point is the CANNABAR Experience, starting at $500 for the first hour — setup and teardown included, then $200 for each additional hour. This is built for intimate gatherings, private parties, and hosts who want to experience professional cannabis hospitality without a large production commitment.

A step up is the HIGH BAR MINI Experience, starting at $600 for the first hour — setup and teardown included, then $300 for each additional hour. The HIGH BAR MINI brings a Certified Cannabis Sommelier instead of a Barista, meaning your guests are guided by someone with deeper product knowledge and educational expertise. This is the right choice when guest experience and presentation matter as much as the service itself.

Both are à la carte and hourly — flexible by design, and the right fit for shorter, more intimate events. The total cost scales simply with how long you need us.

For most weddings, corporate events, and larger social gatherings, our three flagship experiences are actually the smarter investment. They cover more hours, include more service elements, more staff, and a more complete guest experience — all at a price point that makes the hourly packages look like a less efficient option once your event runs past the first couple of hours. Think of the Mini and CANNABAR as the right tool for something small and casual; the flagship packages are built for events where the experience is meant to be a centrepiece.

We offer three flagship experiences, all at comparable price points:

The HIGH BAR Experience is our signature pre-roll bar with a full sensory station. Our certified sommeliers process flower for your guests using our black and gold designer cones — it's interactive, educational, and the kind of moment people genuinely talk about. This is the experience that started it all.

The Infusing Experience brings cannabis into whatever your guests are already drinking. Our sommeliers add odourless, tasteless micro-dosed cannabis infusion drops directly into any non-alcoholic beverage — so the flavour of your guests' favourite drink stays completely intact. Some guests prefer something as simple as an infused glass of water. Others gravitate toward our non-alcoholic wines and custom mocktails, which are always a crowd favourite. Either way, no one can taste the difference — they just feel it. Completely indoor-friendly and ideal for any venue where inhalation isn't an option.

The Vape Station Experience is unlike anything else on the Canadian event market. Guests watch premium glassware fill with vapour in real time, then sip the vapour directly — a visual, sensory moment that stops the room. Please note: this experience is not available at smoke-free or vapour-free venues.

All three flagship experiences can be combined. If you want to offer your guests more than one service on the same night, we offer add-ons starting at $999 — each add-on includes additional certified staff and a complete second experience running alongside your primary booking. It's the most efficient way to give your guests a full cannabis bar service.

Across all tiers, the investment is consistently comparable to what you'd spend on a professional bartending service for the same event. It's a real hospitality service — not a novelty — and it's priced like one.

One important note: not all experiences are available at every location. Municipal bylaws vary across Ontario and Canada, and certain service formats — particularly inhalation and vapour-based experiences — may not be permitted depending on your venue's location. Our team confirms all of this with you during consultation, so there are never any surprises on event day.

The best way to get a number that applies to your specific event, venue, and guest count is to reach out directly. We'll ask the right questions, check your location requirements, and put together a detailed quote with no guesswork.

Summer Is the Best Season to Do This — Here's Why

Outdoor and semi-outdoor venues are where a HIGH BAR activation truly shines. Patios, gardens, rooftops, tented venues, backyards, and waterfront properties all give your guests the natural space to move around, socialize, and enjoy the experience the way it was designed — with fresh air, good company, and zero rush.

Summer also means your guests are already in the right headspace. People are more relaxed, more social, and more open to new experiences at a July backyard wedding than they are at a January office party. And because cannabis is consumed outdoors, there are no venue restrictions on the sensory bar experience — which means you have access to our full menu of offerings, not just the indoor-only infusing service.

One more summer-specific reality: dates go fast. We're already fielding bookings for July and August, and our calendar fills up the same way any in-demand vendor's does. If you have a date in mind, the time to start that conversation is now.

Social Events vs. Corporate Events: Is It Different?

The experience is tailored differently, but the pricing framework is the same.

Social events — summer weddings, backyard parties, milestone birthdays, patio celebrations, or any gathering where adults come together to enjoy the season — tend to lean toward our sensory bar and infusing experiences. Couples getting married often choose our Infusing Experience for the garden-party or tented outdoor setting; the CANNABAR and HIGH BAR MINI packages are a great fit for smaller backyard events where the vibe is relaxed and intimate.

Corporate events — team summer parties, brand activations, client appreciation events, rooftop gatherings, or outdoor product launches — often prioritize the Infusing Experience for its polished presentation. A micro-dosed, tasteless infused beverage is a conversation starter that feels premium without feeling out of place at a professional event. Our staff are trained to present this with the same discretion and professionalism you'd expect from any luxury hospitality vendor.

Both markets get the same certified staff, the same operational compliance framework, and the same $5 million event liability insurance. The experience just gets adapted for your crowd and your setting.

The Real Cost Comparison

A professionally managed open bar at a 100-person Ontario event typically runs between $2,500 and $8,000 for the night — before gratuity. And it serves roughly two-thirds of your guest list, because not everyone drinks alcohol.

A HIGH BAR™️ activation reaches the guests your bar doesn't. For many of our clients, that's the entire justification — and the cost per guest, when you look at it that way, is exceptional.

Most of our clients don't replace their bar with HIGH BAR. They add us alongside it. And the HIGH BAR station is usually the one with the longer lineup.

Book Your Summer Date Before It's Gone

Summer 2026 dates are filling fast. Whether you're planning a backyard wedding in July, a corporate team event in August, or any social gathering this season, the earlier you reach out, the more options you have.

Every event gets a quote built around your specific guest count, venue, experience choices, and date. There's no pressure and no commitment until you're ready — just a real conversation with our team about what the right experience looks like for you.

Reach out at www.highbarcanada.com to check your date and get a custom quote. And use our free Menu Volume Calculator to get a head start on your cannabis planning before you call.

Summer dates are limited.
